There were definitely some surprisingly artistic choices. It's all in black until the iconic shot in the circle, and then the first colour the viewer sees is the red of the blood. That was interesting; and then the opening title sequence, though it was good, I'm not gonna lie: the whole time I was watching all I could think was that it looked like an anime opening. Like, I've seen other Bond movies and I love all the openings and this one was good and all but seriously it looked so much like an anime opening. It was hilarious. Another part that stuck out to me was when Bond was looking for someone in the crowd and it was densely packed with people we didn't know, but the one we needed to notice (the one he was following) was highlighted to us because she was dressed in red. I like colourful little touches like that.
I really like how Daniel Craig plays Bond. He's so scrappy and he fights with some awesome mixed martial arts, but he's also so cool and collected and smooth in every action. He really fits the role well even if I haven't seen every single Bond movie. The score was very good as well, especially during the reveal of the plane. It was so dramatic, made it feel like it was the Death Star or something. I love drama. It was good.
I really loved the part where Vesper was in the shower panicking and Bond showed a softer side and comforted her without a gratuitous sex scene. I liked him acting like a decent human being, and the "Bond girl" acting human. I thought that was a really nice touch in the first of the Daniel Craig series. (Spoilers) The ending was also really good, though I'm mad that Vesper died. I still don't get the whole logic there, but the whole Bond, James Bond line was great. I enjoyed it! It's not my favourite Bond movie, but it wasn't bad.
Warnings for Casino Royale: some blood, lots of murder, sex, death, basically just your average James Bond movie
